Family Day at Johnston Canyon

On Family Day, Tim and I headed out to the frozen ice land they call Johnston Canyon. Thank goodness we dressed warm and wore boots with grip on them; most of the walk to the lower falls was sheer ice! In some spots the snow and ice was piled up so high on the path that only the top rung of the railing was showing. Props to the people we saw who wore shoe spikes, and a major head shake to the girl I saw wearing ballet flats. It was good we got out to see this place when we did — the next day I caught the flu and was bedridden for the next week.
